The Heavens and I Declare His Glory

The heavens declare the glory of God,

    and the sky above proclaims his handiwork.
Day to day pours out speech,
    and night to night reveals knowledge.
There is no speech, nor are there words,
    whose voice is not heard.
Their voice goes out through all the earth,
    and their words to the end of the world.
In them he has set a tent for the sun,
    which comes out like a bridegroom leaving his chamber,
    and, like a strong man, runs its course with joy.
Its rising is from the end of the heavens,
    and its circuit to the end of them,

    and there is nothing hidden from its heat. {Psalm 19:1-6}

My heart is steadfast, O God!
    I will sing and make melody with all my being!
Awake, O harp and lyre!
    I will awake the dawn!
I will give thanks to you, O Lord, among the peoples;
    I will sing praises to you among the nations.
For your steadfast love is great above the heavens;
    your faithfulness reaches to the clouds.
Be exalted, O God, above the heavens!
    Let your glory be over all the earth!   {Psalm 108:1-5}

For my thoughts are not your thoughts,
    neither are your ways my ways, declares the Lord.
For as the heavens are higher than the earth,
    so are my ways higher than your ways
    and my thoughts than your thoughts.  {Isaiah 55:8-9}

Of old you laid the foundation of the earth,
    and the heavens are the work of your hands.
They will perish, but you will remain;
    they will all wear out like a garment.
You will change them like a robe, and they will pass away,
    but you are the same, and your years have no end.
The children of your servants shall dwell secure;
    their offspring shall be established before you.  {Psalm 102:25-28}

Blessed be the name of the Lord    from this time forth and forevermore!From the rising of the sun to its setting,    the name of the Lord is to be praised!The Lord is high above all nations,    and his glory above the heavens!  {Psalm 113:2-4}

And then they will see the Son of Man coming in a cloud with power and great glory.  {Luke 21:27}

But he remained silent and made no answer. Again the high priest asked him, “Are youthe Christ, the Son of the Blessed?” And Jesus said, “I am, and you will see the Son of Man seated at the right hand of Power, and coming with the clouds of heaven.”   {Mark 14:61-62}

In his right hand he held seven stars, from his mouth came a sharp two-edged sword, and his face was like the sun shining in full strength.  {Revelation 1:16}

 And night will be no more. They will need no light of lamp or sun, for the Lord God will be their light, and they will reign forever and ever.  {Revelation 22:5}
